    Dear Salazar, couldn't someone have at least Informed me? My father didn't tell me that he was in negotiations concerning my marriage. I suppose it's not something I'm required to know until the process is finalized anyway, but it still comes as a bit of a shock. It isn't completely unexpected, however. Of course I knew it was coming. I just didn't expect the arrangement to be in process so soon.

    I don't believe I've ever met him before. I will tonight, in any case, so that is hardly important.

    I've no idea how it's taken so long for me to get my hands on one of these things. Of course, my father was skeptical since the rebels use these as well, but he finally decided that as long as I handle myself with appropriate decorum and avoid such conversations, it shouldn't be a problem. At any rate, I've felt completely cut off from the outside world for far too long.
